Shadow of the Colossus. A great tale that captured the hearts of gamers all over the world. Despair, unanswered questions, killings of the colossi... We've all been there. There are few games which hold as many secrets as this one. One of those secrets is the myth of 17th Colossus. That's right, 17th.

I guess this proves it! Now you know it's there somewhere. Lurking in the woods, or in the mountains maybe? You've seen him, now go find him!

Astro Port [also known as DHC or Dark Hell Company] has recently released yet another title. After releasing Sonic Ironstorm: 3 Minute Version, the full game is finally out.

If you're looking for a quality shoot 'em up dojin experience, this title is a must have. As if the quality itself wasn't enough, it's totally free. I guess it's enough to say I'd gladly pay for it. Yes, it's THAT cool.

To visit Astro Port's official site click HERE. You can check out the older titles if you're not familiar with them, and if you want to go to Sonic Ironstorm page directly, click HERE. The download link is just at the top. The files are hosted at Vector. (^ε^)♪
While going through some of my old archives, I found this little gem. Why I haven't released it sooner? I have no idea. I spread it among some people I know who got the game but never released it on any site providing game fixes and such. Well, after finding it, I uploaded it to GameCopyWorld.com

So what is it and what the hell does it do? Long story short: Japanese developer called Illusion released a game called Oppai Slider 2 [check out the game site HERE]. Because they're a bunch of dickheads, they locked it so that it would work on japanese Windows systems only and systems which had the language and region settings set to japanese.

On top of that the game forces you to have the disc present in the drive at all times during the play. If that wasn't enough, the config menu was a bit troublesome for those, who can't read japanese.

So I made a patch that fixes all of these problems. It allows you to run the game at your current language setting even though the ingame japanese font will be screwed up, but you'll cope with that if you don't understand the language whether it's kanji or a bunch of random characters.

It also allows you to play without the disc in the drive and if that wasn't enough, the config / start menu will be completly translated to english. Cool, huh? You bet your ass it's cool. You can find the patch HERE.

To get something clear: For the patch to work, you MUST have the original, previously unpatched executable. I've mentioned this is the *.nfo file but some people don't seem to read those. Here's a couple of screenshots to give you an idea of what the menu looks like after it's patched. This patch will NOT work with the 1.5 version executable either, in case you were wondering.

If the patch doesn't work, it means there's something wrong with the Oppai Slider 2 main executable you're using. There's NOTHING wrong with the patch. You are doing something wrong and I can't know what it is. So please double and triple check your game files BEFORE you post a comment here. Thank you. Oh, and one more thing ...

Do you want to rename a ton of files? Are you tired of the crappy and underdeveloped programs that will never give you the result you're looking for? If you're not afraid of japanese, you should take "Namery" for a spin.

This small piece of software will give you all you need and loads more. Any feature related to renaming the files you might think of, this program has. I just started using it about a week ago and I'm beyond pleased. Get your free copy HERE. You'll find it under "Program" [duh!]. There's also a current beta on the main page [executable only, no help files included]. The proper releases are avalable on Vector, but require no registration. If you want to check out how it looks like, just click on the crappy quality image above. A nice and large *.png will pop up.

Finally someone has decided to port the fabulous lightgun shooter called "Ghost Squad" and of all platforms, it's coming to Nintendo's Wii, along with the brand new zapper gun [which in fact is just a nunchuk and wii remote mounted onto some kind of frame].

I've seen the trailers and the screenshots and I must say that the game looks quite good. At the arcades it ran on the Xbox based Chihiro hardware, and that's certainly something Wii could handle, no sweat.

One of the main features of Ghost Squad in its arcade form was the internet ranking. The player could own a IC Card on which all the scores were stored, and upgrades to weapons could be earned gradually. After the finished game the player would get a code which after registering at the official Ghost Squad site, placed the score in the ranking.

The score registration was also possible via popular in Japan QR Codes. We'll just have to wait and see how Nintendo solves the Wii version ranking.

This is my score from Ghost Squad's web ranking from way back in 2005. The score was gone from the list the next day, but I didn't place too high to begin with. Oh well, at least I was there and I can prove it! Click on the image to get the larger version.
