I just registered myself as a user at one of many japanese blog gadget sites. Before you can start the registration process, you have to agree to the terms of use. That's your standard procedure, right? But wait! Where are the terms? What am I agreeing to? Without thinking much about it, I ticked the proper box under the frame where rules were supposed to be. I hope I did the right thing.

It's not even March yet, the streets are completly covered in snow and if you're not careful, you can get knocked out by the ice falling from the roofs, but the signs of upcoming Spring Festival can already be seen.

I went shopping today and what did I find? Easter drinks! Looks like the infernal marketing machine likes to get an early start. I don't mind. You can never say no to an Easter stout.

That's right. Motorola doesn't like us. I came to this conclusion after I got my hands on a RAZR V3. It's a nice phone, I'll give them that. But it's more looks than anything else.

Firstly, older models of V3 [including the one I've examined - V3r] don't have a slot for a memory card. This means no mp3's, videos and photos in large quantities.

If the lack of support for memory cards wasn't enough, the V3r came with video commercials in *.3gp format. This wouldn't bother me, but the files are protected by 'system' attribute and you can't delete them.

The phone is capable of storing no more and no less than an even hundred SMS / MMS messages no matter how much free space you have. At this day in age, this is unacceptable.

Since the phone is a clamshell, it's equipped with a smaller screen. When the phone is closed, the screen displays time, battery status, network status and souch. When opened, it goes immediately to the Motorola logo. Which I think is too much, since there are already two logos etched into the phone's case.

Of course you can bypass most of these problems by softmodding / hacking the firmware, which I was forced to do. You can free up some space, change around a few things which you are not able to change with just the options menu or even unlock some features. But should you be forced to mess around with system files to get the features you're supposed to be able to access from the get go?

Below you can see how I changed the original Motorola logo displayed while the phone is open.

Yesterday I was complaining about the snowfall. Today I will complain some more. When I got up this morning I didn't expect to be late for work, but I was. And it's all because of the snow. Everything and everyone got snowed in today and it was chaos. Broke down cars, cars that got stuck, busses that got stuck and I. I got stuck in the snow too. As you can see on the photo below [taken with a Motorola V3 phone], it got pretty intense.

This pissed me off a bit, since it was snowing all day and all night. The roads department should have prepared, but they didn't. Roads were covered with thick layer of snow and everyone who thought they could make it through, was proven wrong immediately.

Let's hope that they'll have things sorted by tomorrow. Lazy bums didn't want to get up too early I guess and they got twice as much work with all the cars stuck in traffic. Suits them fine.
Just when I thought spring was on its way, a blizzard covers every everything with 50 ft of pure white snow. That's right. I stole the fifty feet line from Nick Cave for you non metric people to enjoy. Anyways. It's cold and when you get up at 5 AM it's just no fun. I'm not 10 years old anymore, and I really wish I could just go out and make snowmen, run around for hours soaking wet and freezing, come back home, stay up untill 2 in the morning, wake up at 6, and feel like a Duracell bunny that just had a new battery shoved up his little bunny ass. Excusez mon français [which in french means "excuse my french"].

While you enjoy the view from my balcony, you'll undoubtedly notice that everything is covered in snow. It's no disaster, but it came rather unexpected. Yesterday I was about to ditch my winter jacket. This morning I was forced to wear it again.

I'm just hoping I won't go down with some kind of bug. Half of my workplace is coughing away at the other half. And it's not your regular coughing either. It sounds as if they were losing a lung. Good luck to the other half then. Lucky me, I work alone.

The temperature at the moment is at three degrees Celsius and dropping. I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow morning I got hit in the face by minus ten. Okay. Enough whining for today. It's 10 PM and I'm off. I still have some "Brain Training" to do, or I won't get my daily stamp and Dr. Kawashima will get pissed and call me names the next day.
